Embassy of Bahrain Celebrates National Day with Large Number of Pakistani Dignitaries & Diplomatic Community

    Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulqader and spouse hosted a grand reception to celebrate the National (Independence) Day and the inauguration of H.M the King Hamad Bin Isa with Pakistani friends on 19th Dec 2022 at a local hotel that was attended by a large number of guests from all walks of life. Minister Defense Khawaja Mohammad Asif graced the event with his presence as chief guest who cut the specially designed cake to mark the celebration along with Ambassador and spouse.

    The Defense Minister of Pakistan conveyed the felicitations from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the Ambassador for Amir and the brotherly people of Bahrain. He congratulated the Ambassador and the Government of Kingdom of Bahrain on this occasion and wished for further progress and development under the wise leadership of H.M King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
    Chairman Defense Affairs Committee of the Senate of Pakistan Mushahid Hussain Syed, Advisors to Prime Minister, Faisal Karim Kundi and Sardar Saleem Haider, Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Sustainable Development Goals Ms Romina Khurshid Alam, President of Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood, parliamentarians, military officials, business community leaders and media persons were also present. The representation from variety of spheres of life expressed not only the close, cordial relations between the two nations but showed mutual respect and solidarity as well.
    Ambassadors of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq,Jordon, Palestine, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Turkiye also attended the reception. Envoys and diplomats from Oman, Azerbaijan, Britain, Australia, Indonesia, European, African and Asian countries were also invited.
    Bilateral relations are characterized on solidarity, fraternity, trust and support. Both countries work together on bilateral, regional and international level. H.M King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa visited Pakistan in 2014. High level Pakistani delegations visits to Bahrain are also notable in mutual cooperation. More than 100 Thousand Pakistanis are serving in different sectors in Bahrain.

    His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in Sep 2022, ordered the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) led by Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide urgent humanitarian relief aid to those affected by the heavy rains and floods in Pakistan.

    Secretary General of Royal Humanitarian Foundation Dr Mustafa Al-Sayed visited the affected areas of torrential rains and flooding in Pakistan in Sep 2022. He affirmed that Bahrain will continue its support to the Pakistani people in this crisis. Bahrain extended helping hand to Pakistan during the floods of 2010 as well.
    Ambassador H.E Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulqader has played central and active role in building the strong bonds between the two nations at all levels from G-to-G , B-to-B and P-to-P. He is sincere friend of Pakistan. During his tenure so far, both countries have achieved a number of milestones in strengthening and increasing the bilateral ties.
    Bahrain National Day is celebrated on two consecutive days of 16 and 17 Dec. Bahrain secured the independence after a long era of British rule. Bahrain comprises a beautiful archipelago of 50 natural islands and 33 artificial ones. On August 15, 1971, the two countries signed an agreement that freed Bahrain from being a British Protectorate. In Dec 1071, The Britain left, and Bahrain became an independent country.
    H.H Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa was first Amir of Bahrain and ascended the throne on independence. He introduced numerous reforms that transformed the economy and strengthened the stability of the country. Bahrain become the financial hub of the Arabian Gulf during the Amir’s 38-year leadership.
    Kingdom of Bahrain and Pakistan celebrated 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations last year. Both countries enjoy historical relations of common faith, shared culture and social values.

    At the reception, National anthems of both countries were played. The guest were served mouth watering dishes from Pakistani and Bahraini cousin. The whole staff of the Embassy was welcoming and took the best care of the guests. It was highly well managed and well organized reception for which Mr. & Mrs. Ambassador, other officials and staff of the Embassy deserve appreciations.
