According to reports, tomorrow the President of Turkiye, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will participate in the opening of Zangilan Airport together with the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as part of his visit to Azerbaijan.
Of course, Erdogan was expected to participate in this opening. The point is that the visit of Turkish President Mr. Erdogan to Zangilan was not an ordinary date. That is, on the other side of Araz, the realization of such a visit at a time when Iran has started military exercises with the IRGC and loves to show off its muscles to Azerbaijan, while Armenia is gathering troops on the border with Azerbaijan, also indicates that Turkiye is sending a message to Iran, Armenia and the world. that we are with Azerbaijan.
Although Iran tries not to show that it is insincere towards Azerbaijan, it is clearly felt in the steps it takes. Another issue to be mentioned here is that the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, had a meeting with the President of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, a few days ago in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Consultation on Interaction and Trust Measures in Asia.
After this meeting, the announcement by the SEPAH, which is directly connected to the Iranian Supreme Leader, indicates that Iran is afraid of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations. It is for this reason that objectionable statements are regularly made by some circles. On the eve of the start of SEPAH exercises and Erdogan’s visit to Azerbaijan, a statement came from the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan.
It is noted in the statement that “In addition to this note, in the telephone conversation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lieutenant General Bagheri, with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, some proposals were made regarding cooperation in conducting exercises, which are currently being continued.
The relations between two friendly and brotherly countries, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have always been the target of extensive propaganda by the enemies, but the vigilance of the leaders of the two countries prevented them from achieving their goals.
From the statement given, it can be concluded that it is a pretext given to cover up such inappropriate training of SEPAH. This indicates that the domestic situation will become even tenser.
