ISLAMABAD: Former amir of Pasban of Jamat e Islami, former General Secretary Millat Party, former Information Minister of General Pervez Musharraf , Senior politician and Muhammad Ali Durrani called on DHM of Republic of Tajikistan in Pakistan, Mr. Saidjon Shafizoda in Islamabad.
He was warmly recieved by the DHM at the Embassy of Tajikistan in Islamabad.
The sides discussed present status of bilateral relations and dwelled on the way forward to enhancing the close and cordial bonds into meaningful mutual economic cooperation.
As regional collaboration and connectivity are the priority areas in the foreign policies of both the states, they stressed upon exploring more avenues to bring the people and business community closer with increased communication through all possible means.
Mr. Saidjon apprised the guest about recent interactions and meetings between the leaders of both nations , President Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at ECO summit in Baku and International Conference on Preservation of Glaciers in Dushanbe.
The sides had a consensus that the two countries enjoy examplary relations based on mutual trust and benefit. They agreed to continue joint efforts to build more constructive P2P, B2B and G2G cooperation.
Mr. Durrani expressed his best wishes for Ambassador H.E SHARIFZODA Yusuf Toir who is on his summer leave these days.
