ISLAMABAD: The highly anticipated Furniture Expo 2025 has commenced at The Centaurus Mall, Islamabad. This three-day event running from February 21st to February 23rd, is set to showcase a wide range of high-quality furniture, highlighting the craftsmanship and expertise of Pakistan’s furniture industry.
The Furniture Expo was inaugurated by Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan (President the Centaurus Group), Ms Ayesha (Winsome Marketing), along with the senior management of The Centaurus Mall. Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan emphasized the immense potential of Pakistan’s furniture sector in the global market.
Speaking at the occasion, he stated that the global furniture market size was valued at USD 677.09 billion and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.9% from 2024 to 2030. However, Pakistan’s furniture exports stand at only $222.19 million, which is significantly lower compared to the international market.
He also said, our country produces superior quality furniture compared to many nations whose exports are much higher despite offering lower quality. It is imperative that we focus on refining our furniture industry to meet international standards and increase exports.
The government must extend its support to help the sector grow, so Pakistan’s furniture market can establish a strong presence on the global stage.
