High Level Business Delegation of Sultanate of Oman will Visit Pakistan

Islamabad: A 30-member high-level business delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, headed by His Excellency Engineer Rada Juma Muhammad Ali Al-Saleh, Chairman Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will leave for an official visit to Pakistan from January 4 to 9. The high-level trade delegation includes prominent Omani and Pakistani businessmen. The delegation includes various sectors of trade such as cattle and halal meat, textiles and sewn garments, fruits, fresh vegetables, foodstuffs, medicines, surgical instruments, real estate, furniture, stone. During their visit to Pakistan, the delegation will visit Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition to meeting with industry officials. The delegation will also attend B2B meetings. The delegation will also meet the political leadership of Pakistan.

Mutual cooperation, friendship and fraternal relations between Pakistan and Oman span centuries. The purpose of the visit is to promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation . Oman, being Pakistan’s maritime neighbor, is of great importance to Pakistan. And our political leadership values ​​trade, investment, and bilateral relations with Oman.

To promote cooperation in the private sector, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) signed an MoU on November 16 to form a Joint Business Council (JBC). It was agreed by both sides to nominate members for the JBC.

The formation of this high level trade delegation is part of the efforts of the Embassy of Pakistan in Oman aimed at promoting trade diplomacy. According to the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the concept of geopolitical strategy in the world is gradually turning into geopolitical cooperation. An important pillar of the Prime Minister’s vision is the promotion of bilateral relations. In this regard, Pakistan and Oman are of key importance in connecting China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The exchange of such trade delegations will be very useful and effective in promoting trade cooperation between Pakistan and Oman.
