” I AM PAKISTANI BY HEART ” – Ali Sahin appreciates Dr Afshan Malik for Promoting Turkey-Pak Relations

Ali Sahin said this in a meeting with Pakistani writer, poetess Dr Afshan Malik who called on him when he was staying in Islamabad on 03 June 2021. Ali Sahin and other parliamentarians from Turkey also visited Dr Afshan Malik’s residence on her invitation.

The other members of Turkish Parliament included Mr. Bulent KUSOGLU, Deputy for Ankara, Member of the Plan and Budget Committee, Mr. Yavuz Ergun, Mr. Khalis, Ms Cyeda and Ms Ausman.

Dr Afshan Malik presented her book to Mr. Ali Sahin and briefed him about its launch in Islamabad. The book throws light on bilateral relations and prospects of enhancing the cooperation.

Mr. Ali Sahin appreciated her efforts for building the bridges between the people of two countries. He said Turkey and Pakistan are truly two countries but one nation.

Dr Afshan Malik hosted a dinner in honor of the visiting delegation at her residence. The delegation consisted of gov and opposition parties MPs. Mr. Ali Sahin introduced the members to Dr Afshan Malik. The members spoke highly about Pakistan and they were positive on further promotion of the bilateral cooperation in different sectors.

Mr. Ali Sahin said that parliamentarians can play pivotal role in the enhancement of the relations at people to people to level. He assured his government’s full support to Dr Afshan Malik and other Pakistanis who are working selflessly on the development of brotherly relations.

Working of the Embassy of Turkey to Islamabad with such Pakistanis also came under discussion.
