Pakistan is a country with over 200 million people with enormous potential to rise and find its rightful place among comity of nations. But this has’t happened in the last 70 years. Its youth with matched resilience and talent with never say die approach are victims of dream sellers who have been faking as saviours, visionaries and harbingers of change.
Every time people believed in saviours their dreams were crushed mercilessly and they were left in the endless desert of dying hopes and unfulfilled promises. Charlatans in the garb of visionaries were making hey while the sun was shining on them and people were left to fend for themselves in the land of miseries.
Have we ever thought that what is wrong with us as a nation?
Have we ever pondered how we can extricate ourselves from the abyss we find ourselves in?
It is about time that there should be grand debate of the people to re-write our destiny and re-chart our course. We the people are custodians of this great country not these thieves, thugs, clowns and jokers in the garb of leaders. Systems are for the people and people are not for systems.
After the inception of modern state system with the conclusion of Treaty of Westphalia in 1648 it is people who are supreme to redefine their destiny in accordance with their wishes. We are not children of a lesser God.
Let us stop being deceived by clowns and jokers faking as leaders and visionaries. Let us take the lead and help realise a promised land for us and our children where there are no lies, no deceit and no dream crushers.
It might take a while but this country can be fixed given the honest and able leadership. These are fleeting moments. Let’s grab them or abyss is where we will remain destined for forever.
