Kazakhstan Pakistan Direct Flights in March 2023 – Agree on Building up of Bilateral Cooperation

    Islamabad, 23-24 December 2022 -Kazakhstan and Pakistan have agreed to organize the launch of direct flights on the route Almaty-Lahore, Almaty-Karachi in March 2023. In parallel with the meeting of the IJC, B2B meetings were held for Kazakhstan businessmen, as a result of which contracts were signed for the supply of various commodity items.

    A two-day visit of the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin to Islamabad took place.
    During his stay, the 11th sesson of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation was held, within the framework of which Memorandums of Understanding were signed between the Civil Aviation Committees of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Qaz Trade JSC, KazakhInvest JSC, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and the Board of Investment of the Pakistan.
    The head of the delegation held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Sh. Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, during which the need to build up bilateral cooperation with a special emphasis on the development of the trade and economic component was once again emphasized.
    As part of the business lunch, an exchange of views was held with members of the Federal Cabinet of Ministers of Pakistan from among the Ministries of Communication, Economy, Agriculture, Finance, Trade, etc.
    In the afternoon, a meeting was organized with representatives of the business circles of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, during which representatives of the Pakistani business community informed S. Zhumangarin about the projects being implemented jointly with Kazakhstani partners.
    On the second day, a cultural program was organized for the arriving delegation, the guests visited the Monument of Pakistan, the Museum of the Leader of the Nation, as well as the Faisal Mosque, which is the largest in South Asia. The program ended with a business lunch organized by the management of the NLC logistics company. The parties discussed the development of transport and logistics routes, including the delivery of goods between countries.
    The Embassy has expressed special gratitude to the Federal Minister for Economic Development Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and the Federal Minister of Trade Naveed Qamar for organizing the high-level visit of the Kazakhstan delegation.
