Heads of Governments and States have congratulated Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his re-election by his nation with big majority of 81 % votes polled in presidential elections held on 24 Oct 2021. The leaders of Pakistan, China, Russia and Kazakhstan are the first to felicitate President Shavkat and they termed his re-election as good omen for Uzbekistan nation in connection with their well being and prosperity.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan has extended heartiest congratulation to what he said My Dear President on Impressive Victory. The PM looks forward to continued constructive engagement between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan called the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today and congratulated him on winning the Presidential Elections for the second term. He said that this impressive victory reflected again the trust and confidence of the people of Uzbekistan in President Mirziyoyevs leadership.
The Prime Minister underlined the importance of enhanced trade and economic linkages, and reiterated Pakistan’s support to the Trans-Afghan railway project to advance the agenda of regional connectivity.
The two leaders agreed to continue high-level interaction to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas including economic, trade, investment, energy, security and education sectors.
In the regional context, Prime Minister Imran Khan underscored the importance of a peaceful and stable Afghanistan and timely completion of regional infrastructure projects.
The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to the Uzbek President to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
Imran Khan said in his message ” People of Brotherly Uzbekistan have again reposed their trust in his able leadership.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a telephone conversation, warmly congratulated President Shavkat on a convincing victory in the election of the head of state. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
“Mutual disposition was confirmed for further all-round development of the entire complex of Russian-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and alliance,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Chinese President sincerely congratulated the head of our state on the successful conduct of the presidential election in Uzbekistan and its convincing victory.
The heads of state discussed topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke by telephone with the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomartom Tokaev, correspondent of IA “Dunyo”.
