
Islamabad: 14 March 2025 – Uzbekistan Embassy in collaboration with the Centaurus Mall has started a three-day “Made in Uzbekistan” Food Expo at the Centaurus Mall.
The three-day expo will feature top Uzbekistan food-related export-quality products for the people of Pakistan. The top 50 exporting companies of Uzbekistan are participating in this expo, with more than 50 selected products on display. The expo will continue on 15 and 16 March 2025.
The “Food Fest Uzbekistan – 2025” exhibition has successfully launched in Islamabad!
On March 14, in the heart of Pakistan – at the “Centaurus Mall” shopping center – the grand opening of Uzbekistan’s national food exhibition took place!
The Expo was inaugurated by, H.E Alisher Tukhtayev (Ambassador of Uzbekistan), Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO The Centaurus Group, President Islamabad Developers Association.
This is not just a trade event, but a new stage in the development of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Thanks to the initiative of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, economic diplomacy has become a key driver for deepening our bilateral relations.
Why is this a historic moment?
Just two weeks ago, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Uzbekistan, where important agreements were reached at the highest level. The leaders of the two countries set an ambitious goal – to increase trade turnover to $2 billion!
This exhibition is the first major step towards achieving that goal!

Representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Chakwal, Top business executives, investors, and partners, Media representatives, bloggers, and citizens were present.

Ambassador Alisher, in his remarks said, ” Both countries are not only strengthening trade ties but also building strong bridges of friendship between our nations! Pakistan is a brotherly country with which we share centuries-old historical, cultural, and spiritual bonds. Today, these ties are reaching a new level through economic cooperation, innovation, and mutual investment.”
Ambassador appreciated Sardar Yasir Ilyas, for his invaluable support in organizing this exhibition. He said, Yasir’s efforts and dedication to enhancing trade relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan have turned this festival into not just a major event but a landmark occasion for both nations.”

Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, speaking at the event, said that such expos encourage foreign businesses and investors to explore business opportunities, joint ventures and partnerships. He also highlighted that expos provide a platform for local businesses to connect with international buyers, distributors and business partners.
He added that the Centaurus will continue to host such events in the future, giving countries the opportunity to showcase their local products, services and brands in Pakistan to increase international sales and expand into new markets.
