“Mar k Bhi Chain na Paya tau Kidher Jayn Gay” – Nishan e Haidar, Cap Karnal Sher Khan’s Mazaar Looted in Swabi KPK

  Copies of Nishan e Haidar, the highest gallantry award in the armed forces of Pakistan, a bike, and other materials and items placed at the mausoleum of Cap Karnal Sher Khan, the brave martyr of the Kargil War with India are missing. A report has been lodged in the Sawabi district of KPK against Emaad on the statement of Noman.

Two Flags, Steel Poles, Two Flags, Marker Badges, One UPS, Two Batteries 200 Volt, One Solar System, One Water Filter, One Fan, and Captain Colonel Sher Khan’s personal motorcycle included. The bike CD 70 was used by the martyr during service.
This unfortunate and shameful act has been committed in his village Karnal Sher Klay at midnight of 16- 17 Oct 2022 in Sawabi District of KPK province. The theft was brought to the knowledge of local police only on 18 Oct by Noman Sher and Adnan Sher s/o Anwer Sher, the resident of the same village. He accused Emmad s/o Siyaar Khan resident of Muhallah Shagai and Hamzah s/o Umar Ghani resident of Bashaiti Swat as the culprits of this high-profile theft. Sawabi police have arrested the accused and recovered the stolen material. Further investigation is going on.
The village was renamed from Nawa Klay to Karnal Sher Klay after his martyrdom in 1999. People of his village and around wondering who and how can dare to do such type of thing? And who is the protector of the graves of the martyrs here?
Cap Karnal Shaheed was the hero of the Gultari Region where he established 5 strategic posts at a height of more than 17 thousand feet. He along with his brave fellows thwarted 8 strong attacks by the Indian military on his posts to snatch or destroy them.
Finally, he embraced martyrdom on 5 July 1999 when Indians attacked with two battalions. Karnal Sher Khan was fighting there with limited resources and fewer numbers than the Indian military. He lost one post but soon recaptured it. He led the successful counterattack to push the enemy to retreat. Meanwhile, he was hit by machine gun fire and sacrificed his life for his country.
Indian Army Brigadier M. P. S. Bajwa was impressed by the actions of Captain Khan and wrote to the government of Pakistan citing the bravery of the young officer.
wrote a citation for Khan and placed it in his pocket while returning his body to the Pakistani officials. Khan’s actions during the war were also praised by his fellow Pakistani soldiers and Khan was posthumously awarded Pakistan’s highest military honor, the Nishan-e-Haider.
