Some latest developments at the world stage with US in the center and later followed by Pakistan are demonstrating a unique phenomenon in Asia particularlary with one country in North Africa and it seems that soon we will see something sudden and strange in the Middle East , North Africa. A country in focus is Israel. And everything is being done in the name of Peace ! But the line of action lets us lead to one point, Recognition of Israel is the second name of Peace !
Israel Iran happened with US Mediation with attacks ! India Pakistan happened with US Mediation without attack on anyone ! In both cases US played pivotal role to bring the conflict to control, at least for the time being. Later dialogues and mediations were initiated. Syria can also be seen in the same series of rapidly changing schenarios in different disturbed points.
Rebellion Libya’s Haftar military delegation was recieved at the highest levels in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Haftar’s son was welcomed as the Commander in Chief of Libya that he is not ! He had visited US and Turkiye recently that proves US as well as Turkiye are up to something on Libya. And after that the arch rivals of South Caucasus were seen at Oval with President Trump ending the enmity of more than three decades. And now Pakistan, is in contact with Armenia for establishment of relations !
DPME / FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephonic conversation on 29th May 2025 with Mr. Ararat Mirzoyan, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, first of any type since Armenia came into existence from USSR in 1991.
The DPM/FM welcomed the “historic” peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, terming it a positive step for regional stability and prosperity. The two leaders agreed to consider the establishment of diplomatic relations. They also discussed potential avenues of cooperation, bilaterally and at multilateral fora.
Here it will be wise to review the matter again and take the steps slowly and not as swiftly as we are seeing the series of the developments , as mentioned above. President Trump is not a statesman ! He is a peace loving person ! No need to have any doubts on his peace efforts ! No need to see it for Nobel nomination as well ! He is President of USA after all ! His words mean a lot, but he himself changed his stance on some issues in previous months.
But the question is , the wars and conflicts in mentioned regions are so simple that any President of any powerful country can solve them with one phone call or one call on him by the rival parties?
Certainly Pakistan had contact with Armenia with the consultation of Azerbaijan, but we can not oversea US role in this deal ! So not only Azerbaijan but US is also in the picture. Unfortunately, all parties seem to be in a hurry ! We in Pakistan have a saying , ” A hurried work is a Satanic work.” Sorry to give this example , but I do not know Armenia has shared the maps of mines installed in Karabakh to Azerbaijan or not ? That are killing innocent people and non fighting soldiers there continuously.
Only a few days ago President Azerbaijan was asked questions on the certainties of the deal ! What if the Pashaniyan is sent home in upcoming elections? And the next leadership throw the deal away? The President replied ” Then Armenia will Suffer “.
Exactly what he said according to Azerbaijan state media and the website of the President ;
(He warned , if any future government of Armenia, no matter when it comes to power, puts under doubt what has been signed in Washington, Armenia will face serious complications, because the balance of power in the region is absolutely in our favor from all points of view. I think it’s obvious to everyone, and if Armenia again puts under doubt our territorial integrity, we will respond adequately.)
Everyone knows that no proper document was signed in Oval and both parties are to draft an agreement on the elimination of the sections in the constitution of Armenia about their claim on Karabakh lands. And PM Armenia is facing opposition in his country and he is trying to convince the people on what happened in Washington.
Irani President visited Armenia few weeks ago and expressed Iran’s concerns on so called Trump Corridor (Zangezur). Armenia assured Iran for preservation of the ally’s interests. Iran has been with Armenia throughout the conflict and wars.
Pakistan , even asked by any party or the mediator , should not be hasty in establishment of relations with Armenia. Let them amend their constitution according to the terms of Azerbaijan first and then you can proceed. Also keep in mind , altering the constitution is not necessarily the same in other countries like it has been made in Pakistan.
On Libya too , Pakistan is expected to review the policy about acceptance of Haftar as Libyan leader ! He is a warring head only ! Pakistan does not have diplomatic relations with Haftar’s self made self styled gov on one part of Libya. Lt Gen Saddam Haftar led a big military delegation to Rawalpindi Islamabad !
How it was made possible? Who was behind this extra ordinary movement , that not by any civilian, diplomat, but by the Generals of a non recognized regime? USA and Turkiye look the main supporters as both are having contacts with Haftars in the name of building consensus in Libya for next elections and bring a unified system of governance there. Haftars are holding most of the oil reservoirs there !
Turkiye and Azerbaijan are in close contact with Syrian leader ! Azerbaijan is ready to mediate between new Syrian leader and Israel ! President Ilham says ” For the sake of Peace in our regions only.” Therefore , On Syria too, Pakistani policy can be seen in the same perspective as we are friends and both countries supported Pakistan against India. Armenia and India strengthened military cooperation only in response to Azerbaijan Pakistan defence cooperation.
Israel is the focus ! yes it is ! Recognition of Israel in Pakistan is very very big issue ! but mostly it is because of lack of knowledge in the opposition circles. Pakistan already and almost recognize Israel. ” Two State Formula”. Means one state of Palestine and second state of Israel. Therefore , Pakistanis should understand it in true sense. All roads and road maps are leading us with US in command and control towards establishment of relations or normalization at least , with Israel.
Now the point to ponder upon is , Israel , India, Armenia are trustworthy parties to move forward with them ?
History and consecutive events and incidents and aggressions and genocides and violation of agreements and stubbornness and disrespect and disobidience to UN charter and sending to hell the international conventions , has been the tradition in cases of all these three countries. Gauranttes by Donal Trump ! The President of USA ! The most powerful country of the World ! Please keep in mind – What most of the opinion makers say about him ? UNPREDICTABLE ………….
Last but not the least ! Ukraine ….. Look the mediation of the favorit of all our friends ! He is not advocating ceasefire at the borders that were marked on the liberation of Ukraine from USSR. He is doing his best to convince Ukraine , leave the eastern states ! Donbas , Luhansk etc. They are gone !!!!!! The Mighty Russia Will Not Go to Pre War Borders ! What a Mediation by the way !
What if American Mediation Means in the future , Jammu Kashmir is Gone ! Forget it and move forward ? like he asked Ukraine. Kashmir is the first and the oldest dispute on UN agenda after all. How one can seek Nobel without resolution of this conflict? And what if Trump in his mood, moves towards Moodi to bring him back from China? Then you will not be welcomed in Washington in years , let alone twince in two months.
Still our best wishes are with those who are taking chance ! not because they are our friends ! because they are right ! but in the present world ……… Only Might is Right !
