A court in Dera Ismael Khan KPK has issued non bailable warrants for the heads of two very important departments in connection with China Pakistan Economic Corridor construction and they are alleged to stop the due bills of more than 529 Million rupees of a project of the same CPEC.

The departments are  National Highway Authority and National Logistic Cell. Chairman NHA Captain R Sikander Qayyum and Director General NLC Major General Yousuf Jamaal along with other officials were summoned by the court many times but both of them failed to comply with the orders of the court.

Neither the two heads , themselves nor any other official bothered to appear before the court in a case filed by government contractors Talib Hussain and Ghulam Mohammad for the arrears , the two departments have refused to pay in violation of the terms and conditions of the contract awarded.

The two contractors filed the case in the court of senior civil judge Dera Ismael Khan in March 2019 in which they alleged that they constructed roads in Pahar Pur Tehseel of District Dera Ismael Khan. It was project of CPEC. The two departments altered the terms and conditions later without sharing any information or notice to the contractors.

The court has directed DPO Dera Ismael Khan to make these officials present before the court on 28 July 2020.
