Pak-Kazakh Cooperation in Food & Agriculture Discussed in Ambassador Minister Meeting

Islamabad, September 1, 2021 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin held a meeting with the Federal Minister of National Food Security and Research of Pakistan  Mr. Syed Fakhar Imam. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector were discussed.

Y. Kistafin informed the interlocutor about the current bilateral agenda of trade and economic cooperation, expressing interest in strengthening the partnership between authorized agencies and private companies in the field of agriculture. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan invited the Pakistani delegation to visit Nur-Sultan in October 2021, where the Пресс-служба КазАгро exhibition will be held.

For his part, Said Imam supported the proposal on the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, thanked for the invitation, saying that the business circles of Pakistan will be interested in participating in the upcoming exhibition in Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to consider the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Agricultural authorities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the near future.
