Dr Arshad Taqi ,President Pakistan Medical Commission has admitted that there were errors in our MDCAT test system that generated wrong results and sent to the candidates. He made this clear statement in a press conference on 09 Oct , held by him and the Vice President, another highly disputed official of PMC Mr Ali Raza at PMC head quarters.

Dr Arshad Taqi said that a record number of 194,133 students took the MDCAT exam from August 30 to October 2. He added that out of the 194,133 students, 68,680 students passed the exam, resulting in a national pass percentage of 35.4 per cent. Moreover, 276 Covid-19 and dengue-affected students sat for the exam on Saturday.President and VP running away from questions of reporters

Interestingly , when the reporter asked  about the reservations of the students , the Vice President Ali Raza flared up and replied that it is planned question. The reporters asked how can you say it is planned question. Students are on protest for weeks. Arshad Taqi replied “I have not said planned, I have stated Planted.”

One can see what is the difference between Planned and Planted?

Senior Reporter of Neo News Channel Mr Ali Sher confirmed from the spot of the press conference that the President admitted the presence of errors in MDCAT test system and confirmed that wrong results were compiled by the system dut to these errors and were automatically sent to the candidates.

Here it is wroth noting that the students sometimes commit suicide on failure in exams in Pakistan. Many such examples are there in the past.

Ali Sher, while speaking on record, said that the President’s behaviour with the reporters was very rude and he was not ready to answer their questions.

The reporters in the press conference were shocked when the President and his VP Ali Raza refused to answer the questions and left the press conference room as soon as possible. Their staff helped them get out of the room and closed the doors of the room while the reporters were in.

Quid e Azam University post analysis Report on MDCAT

Mr. Shahid, another education beat reporter present in the press conference of the President PMC, shared that QAU experts were entrusted with the responsibility to analyze the complaints of the students. QAU has also confirmed the errors in the system that left thousands of deserving students in the lurch with fail results. He said that Dr Arshad Taqi avoided talking upon the report of QAU but we have learnt from our reliable sources that QAU has asked PMC to address the grievances of the candidates amicably.

I (the author of this article) am privy to a particular case of PMC MDCAT Error System / first result 124 -FAILED after QAU mentioned wrong doings / result became 148 -PASS. They cut 24 numbers of deserving student – is there any cruelty more than that ?

The only positive thing in the Press Conference

VP Ali Raza announced that PMC is opening Special Review option to recheck the test in the presence of the candidate in the head office of PMC. He said the candidate will be provided the test de-encrypted and he/she can see the right answers. Later the review will be shared with QAU to see for right or wrong.

From Islamabad High Court Issues Notices to PMC

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the respondents in the petition against the MDCAT examination and sought a reply from the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) on 30 Sep 2021.The petitions pleaded the court to restrain PMC from allowing admissions until the conclusion of the case.

Sardar Abdul Razaaq filed the petition on behalf of the students, who have taken the plea that the procedure followed, this time around, for the medical test was illegal. The petitioners said that section 18 of PMC Act 2020 binds the conducting of tests across the country on the same date. However, they said, entrance tests were conducted online from August 30 to September 30 this year.

The petition, filed by three students, stated that 60,000 people are facing difficulties because of the MDCAT test conducted by PMC.The court has been requested to stop PMC from carrying out the controversial test. The students said they should hold the exam in public universities and not through any private institution.

Sindh Government ” PMC Destroying the Future of Medical Students”

Meanwhile, the Sindh government has demanded of the federation to immediately abolish PMC, saying the PMC was destroying the future of the medical students.

“The toppers and intelligent children have failed and become mentally ill,” Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu had said last week. He stated that Sindh had already expressed concerns over PMC’s policy for admission in medical colleges.

“We will not allow PMC to do injustice to the students in Sindh and ruin their future,” Rahu said. The provincial minister maintained that there are anomalies in the PMC’s test system. “The constitution and law do not give the federation any authority to form PMC,” he added.
