Islamabad, Sep 16, 2021 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin held a meeting with the Federal Minister of Economic Affairs of Pakistan – Co-Chairman of the Kazakh-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan Mr. Omar Ayub Khan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Protocol of the 9th session of the intergovernmental commission, held on February 27-28, 2020 in Islamabad.
In particular, Yerzhan Kistafin drew the interlocutor’s attention to the implementation of the Protocol points, noted the need to activate the state authorities of both Kazakhstan and Pakistan in achieving practical results of interaction.
The Federal Minister, in turn, informed about the readiness of the Pakistani side to hold relevant meetings of industry working groups in the near future, as well as to establish direct contacts with Kazakh counter-partners.
Following the meetings, the parties agreed to exchange information on the implementation of the Protocol on an ongoing basis, as well as to hold the next 10th meeting of the IPC in Nur-Sultan.
