Pakistan Keen to Have Defence Collaboration with African Countries -Ambassadors Briefed @ MoDP

Rawalpindi; 20 Jan 2020 – The Federal Minister of Defence Production, Ms. Zobaida Jalal has said, that Pakistan considers Africa as an important destination for its Defence products and wants to further enhance its relations with them.

She said this, on the eve of hosting interactive meeting with Ambassadors of Africa, organized by Ministry of Defence Production at MoDP Rawalpindi.

Ambassadors were briefed at MoDP by Director General Defence Export Promotion Organization, about defence products and capabilities of Defence Industries of Pakistan.

Ms. Zobaida Jalal said that, African countries can benefit from the Defence Establishments of Pakistan. African Ambassadors showed keen interest in the Defence products of Pakistan.

The envoys thanked the Minister for organizing such an event and providing opportunity to know about defence production capabilities of Pakistan. The meeting was attended by envoys from 12 African countries i.e. Ambassadors from Libya Mr Nizar A Nabiha, Morocco Mr Mohammed Karmoun, Algeria Mr Lakhal Benkelai, Egypt Mr Ahmed Fadel Yakoub, Kenya Mr Julius Bitok,  Mauritius Mr Rashid Ali Soobedar, , Nigeria Maj Gen (r) Ashimiyu Adebayo Olaniyi, Palestine Mr Ahmed Ameen, Somalia Ms Khadija, Sudan Mr Abdul Rehman and Tunisia Mr Borehene El-Kamel.

While Minster, Secretary Defence Production and other high officials of Ministry of Defence Production were also present at the occasion.
