Islamabad, Pakistan —The Turkish Maarif Foundation applauds the proceedings and follow-up of the Honorable Supreme Court’s decision of 13th December 2018. The PTICEF (Pak Turk International Cag Education Foundation) was international representation of Cag Education Foundation which was managing the Pak Turk Schools in Pakistan. According the Supreme Court verdict, it was directed that Turkish Maarif Foundation being established by the Act of Parliament of Turkey will take over the school system for future.
At the same time, the government of Pakistan was directed to declare PTICEF as a terrorist
organization under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997 and proscribe the same. Further to the verdict of Supreme Court, the Ministry of Interior of Government of Pakistan has finally notified that Pak Turk International Cag Education Foundation (PTICEF) is a terrorist organization. Earlier, it was ordered by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on 13.12.2018 when a Constitution Petition was filed by Pakistani lawyer and similar was allowed. Later, the FETO filed a review petition which was subsequently dismissed by the Honorable Supreme Court on 14.04.2019.
The Federal Government has admitted that they have enough reasons to notify that PTICEF is involved in subversive terrorism and the government while exercising its powers under Section 11-B of Anti-terrorism Act 1997, proscribe this terror outfit and list it into 1st Schedule of said Act, meant for terrorist organizations.
The Government has copied this notification to all concerned ministries and other government departments for further necessary action. Also the similar is to be published in the Pakistan Gazette.
At the same time, the National Counter Terrorism Authority of Pakistan has published this on its official website where it shows that PTICEF is at number 71 amongst the similar terrorist organizations.
This is how the brother country Pakistan made this precedence to the rest of the world that they should also know that FETO is a terror outfit and take necessary steps to curb this danger to the world peace.
The subject notification must be considered as the implementation part of earlier verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and as per other directions, the school system is smoothly functioning under the control of state owned Turkish Maarif Foundation.
The official name and style of school system has been changed as per order of the Supreme Court and now is being operated as “Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges. The parents and students are rather happier after this control and administration being transferred to Turkish Maarif Foundation which has taken remarkable decisions/initiatives to uplift the school systems in Pakistan.
