ALGERIA : Muhammad Bashar, a ten-year-old boy from Swat, Pakistan, achieved fourth place in the prestigious International Quran Recitation Competition “Mazamir Dawood” held in Algeria.
Organized by the private media channel “Echorouk” from August 18 to 31, the competition featured participants from over 15 countries. For his impressive recitation skills, Bashar was awarded a prize of $1,500.
The Echorouk channel hosts this competition annually, attracting talented reciters from around the world. Additionally, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Algeria organizes a separate International Quran Recitation Competition each year under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Pakistan’s regular participation in these events helps to strengthen the cultural and spiritual bonds between Algeria and Pakistan, fostering closer relations between the two brotherly nations.
