COP29 Monitoring Desk
ISLAMABAD: A delegation led by Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, has reached Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to participate in COP 29.
The delegation includes Atiqur Rehman, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change, senior officials, researchers, scientists and other climate experts. Experts are included.
Pakistan will highlight mitigation and adaptation measures being taken in the country for climate adaptation and environmental stability.
Romina Khurshid Alam, on arrival has said, ” Pakistan will try to find new opportunities for cooperation with regional and international partners. The current government’s ongoing measures to combat climate risks will be highlighted in this global climate conference.
The Prime Minister’s Coordinator will also hold meetings with delegations from various countries to advance the agenda of environment finance for developing countries.
