Blood donation organizations and volunteers are working all over the world but in Pakistan, there is a unique non governmental organization that has convinced and helped concerned authorities to develop a Blood Donation Service where an sms will be sent to all donors to get matching blood in the least possible time. Mr. Waseem Ali Malik the President The Life Savers Welfare Organization shared this in an event of the organization the other day.
It was closing of plantation campaign. The organization volunteered to plantation campaign in Kuri union council of Islamabad in which the workers of the organization participated enthusiastically. The volunteers donated plants and personally dispatched to the residents of the area to make sure they are planted and taken care of.
The closing ceremony was held the other day in which awards were distributed among the volunteers and the donors. Waseem Ali Malik, President, Life Savers welfare organization hosted the awards event with Iftar dinner at the residence of Chaudhary Rabnawaz , a philanthropist of this union council.
Adil Safeer, President Service international, Dr Abdullah Khaleel Chairman Civil society, Barrister Samsam khokhar , the staff of 1122, Forest department, the volunteers and local notables were present at this occasion.Dr Abdullah Khaleel planted a plant in the garden as the closing of the campaign.
Waseem Ali Malik, in his address to the participants shed light how vehemently the local people and volunteers participated in the plantation campaign. He said that it is Sadq e Jariya because the next generations will have the benefits of the green environment.
The organization is running many other welfare projects that include a knitting training school also where local poor women learn how to sew the clothes.The organizers distributed heroes of the nation awards to the volunteers.
It was 13th anniversary of life Savers welfare organization as well as world forest day. The ceremony marked both special days. The organization intends to set up a hospital in the union council in the future where the deserving patients will get free treatment.
