ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine calls for serious international measures to halt Israel’s unjust deductions from “clearance” funds.
The statement issued by the Ministry is , “The occupation’s war on Palestinian legitimacy and its institutions is part of the comprehensive aggression against our people.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates views with extreme concern the occupation government’s continued unjust deductions from Palestinian tax revenues (clearance) and its withholding of Palestinian people’s funds, which have exceeded 7 billion shekels.
The Ministry considers these plans to be racist, colonialist political schemes that fall within the framework of the war of genocide, displacement, and annexation.
They also represent the occupation’s attempts to weaken the Palestinian National Authority, the institutional embodiment of the State of Palestine on Palestinian soil, in flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions.
The Ministry calls for Arab and Islamic steps to protect Palestinian legitimacy, its institutions, and its internationally recognized government, and to implement a financial safety net. It also calls on the international community to act quickly and confront the occupation’s encroachment on our people and their rights.
