President of the Grappling Association of Kazakhstan Visits Sialkot, Gujranwala and Lahore

Sialkot, July 21, 2023 – President of the Grappling Association of Kazakhstan, Kanat Alin, arrived in Pakistan at the invitation of Ambassador Y. Kistafin. A two-day visit of the Kazakhstan delegation to the city of Sialkot, the production center of sporting goods, took place.

During their stay in Sialkot, the delegation visited a number of leading enterprises engaged in manufacturing sporting goods, equipment, and sportswear for various disciplines. During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the production process and production technology and held negotiations on establishing cooperation.

In addition, the delegation visited the University of Sialkot at the invitation of its leadership, where a meeting was held with members of the faculty of the Universities of Sialkot and Gujranwala.

Their conversation centered on the importance of developing collaboration in the field of education. Representatives of universities expressed high interest in establishing direct contacts with Kazakh universities.

The Ambassador spoke about the ongoing work in the context of the development of Kazakh-Pakistani cooperation, with an emphasis on the educational sphere.

On July 22, the delegation arrived in Lahore, where negotiations were held at the Kazakhstan House with the participation of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Rao Khalid, and members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gujranwala.

They discussed the prospects of cooperation with the business community of the city and agreed to organize a visit of Gujranwala businessmen to Kazakhstan in the near future to explore business and investment opportunities.

For his part, the Ambassador spoke about the opportunities available for developing cooperation between our countries at the B2B level.

Negotiations were also held with the President of the Karate Federation of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmed Baig, after which the delegation visited the leading sports centers of Lahore to discuss prospects for establishing cooperation.

An agreement was reached to organize a visit of representatives of Lahore sports clubs to Kazakhstan. The purpose of this visit is to familiarise themselves with the country’s infrastructure and sports complexes and to consider the possible opportunities for establishing cooperation.
