Islamabad: Monitoring Desk – The Russian army continues to hit the residential areas of cities, endangering civilians. On the morning of June 5, four Russian missiles hit the Darnytsia Railcar Repair Plant (DVRZ) in Kyiv. One railroad worker was injured. In total, Russia launched five air-based Kh-22 cruise missiles at Kyiv, one of which was destroyed by air defence. The strikes were carried out by Tu-95 strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea. Today’s Kyiv attack was the strongest since April 2022.
Russia continues to endanger Ukrainian nuclear plants, which threatens the whole world with a new nuclear catastrophe. Launched in the morning in Kyiv, Russian missiles flew critically low over the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant. Even a fragment of a rocket that can hit a working power unit can cause a nuclear catastrophe and a radiation leak.
The aggressor continues to launch rocket and air strikes on military and civilian infrastructure facilities in other cities of Ukraine as well. At night, in Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, Russian missiles hit two industrial facilities. In Kramatorsk, fortunately, there were no casualties, and in Druzhkivka, one person died and another was injured.

In Sievierodonetsk, the Russians again fired on Azot chemical plant, in Lysychansk – the police and post office buildings. A woman died from Russian shelling in Lysychansk, two men were wounded. On June 4, the Russians fired on Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Ustynivka, Vrubivka and Toshkivka from cannon artillery and multiple launch rocket systems. Air strikes were carried out by Ka-52 helicopters in the areas of Hirne and Myrna Dolyna, and by Su-25 aircraft – at Ustynivka.

A missile attack from the Tochka-U complex was carried out on Lysychansk. In Hirne, 13 houses were damaged. In Lysychansk – 5 houses, as well as the Ukrposhta post office and the Police Station premises were damaged. The humanitarian headquarters was also destroyed in Lysychansk. About 30 shells hit the building of the humanitarian headquarters.

With artillery support, the Russian army continues to storm Sievierodonetsk and controls the eastern part of the city. The enemy is also trying to conduct an offensive in the direction of Nyrkovo – Mykolaivka.

In Bakhmut, Donetsk region, the territory of an agricultural enterprise was destroyed:

Russian occupiers used phosphorus munitions in the area of Cherkaski Tyshky settlement, Kharkiv region. Russian army also shelled the Korotych airfield in the Kharkiv region, the hangars and their contents were completely destroyed.

The settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region were also attacked. In Velyka Kostromka and Mala Kostromka, 2 houses were destroyed, another 6 and a local library – in disrepair.
Due to the blow in Mykolaiv region, the grain warehouses was in fire in an area of 10 thousand square meters, 11 units of equipment and 50 firefighters were involved in its elimination. In general, the fire destroyed two storage facilities. There are no victims.

The humanitarian crisis continues in Mariupol, occupied by the Russians. To obtain drinking water, people now need to register in two-days standing line. That is, now drinking water is available every two days at best. The main reason is falling water levels in natural sources of water intake. Further reduction in water supply for natural reasons – summer heat – is predicted. Humanitarian aid has already been reduced by invaders.

Now it is available only for senior citizens. All the rest must “work”. The “food-for-work” practice has resumed. Young people are forced to sign up in the “squads” and help mobile patrols, including to conduct filtration activities. For refusal, they are threatened with mobilization to the “DPR” army. Mariupol is being purposefully and systematically transformed into a ghetto for Ukrainians.
