RUSSIAN RETREAT FROM “LYMAN” – SERIOUS POLITICAL SETBACK TO PUTIN

Kyiv: Monitoring Desk – Ukraine terms the retreat of Russian troops from Lyman was a serious political setback for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Especially, due to the fact that Lyman is located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, which Russia illegally annexed on September 30.

Russia suffered its second major defeat in the last month after the collapse of the front in the Kharkiv region and the flight of the Russian military. Who not only warned the Russian military leadership about the threat of encirclement of the “Lyman” group and the need to put forward reserve forces to prevent defeat. Here the Russian generals have demonstrated their incompetence again.

After the surrender of the city of Lyman by Russian troops, a real hate campaign began in the Russian “patriotic” community towards the RF’s military leadership — in particular, the generals who headed this area, as well as the Russian Ministry of Defense. As always, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in his usual manner was marked by his criticism of Colonel General Lapin and, in fact, the entire general staff of the Russian armed forces.

Kadyrov accused Colonel General Lapin of being 150 kilometers from the front. At the same time, the head of Chechnya himself was and is about 1,500 km away from the war. There are no Kadyrov’s soldiers in the most dangerous parts of the front, including near Lyman, as always. Doesn’t this mean that Kadyrov is waiting for the complete weakening of the Russian army in order to rebel against the Russian authorities, starting the struggle for the independence of Ichkeria?

Kadyrov and Prigozhin quite consciously destroy the Russian army and aggravate the crisis in the military leadership. The side effect in the form of a further deterioration of the military situation and demotivation of the troops does not bother them at all. They are already engaged in other issues, trying to strengthen their positions before the start of a big mess of power transfer, which will inevitably come.

Well, now there is a continuation of the process of complete decomposition of the Russian army. At the same time, no amount of mobilization will save it. Indeed, the military leadership of the Russian Federation lacks not only a strategic, but also a tactical vision of a way out of the catastrophic situation that has arisen in the Ukrainian direction.
