Islamabad: 28 Feb 2022 – Second round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Pakistan took place in Islamabad. During the consultations, the present state and prospects for the development of Uzbekistan-Pakistan, as well as certain issues of an international and regional nature, were discussed in detail.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Furqat Siddiq headed the Uzbek side. Ambassador Oybek Usman was also present. Pakistani side was led by Additional Foreign secretary Mr. Amir Aftab Qureshi.
It was emphasized that Uzbekistan and Pakistan have significant potential for the further development of multifaceted bilateral cooperation.
Proposals were considered to strengthen the inter-parliamentary dialogue, build up trade, economic and investment ties.
