Tashkent Conference was Expression of Regional & World Confidence in Uzbekistan & in the Initiatives of the President – Editor Tazeen Akhtar

Islamabad; 05 Aug 2021 – Editor Pakistan in the World and Daily Azkaar Islamabad Mr. Tazeen Akhtar called on Ambassador of Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr Aybek Arif Usmanov for post the conference (Central and South Asia Interconnectedness, Tashkent 15-16 July ) meeting , to share his observations and experiences of covering the conference and visiting two major cities of Tashkent and Samarkand.

The editor first of all expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and home like hospitality by the government and ministry of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan. Further he admired the commitment of the attendants who took care of everything of their guest (the editor) during the stay in Tashkent.

Ambassador Mr Aybek Arif Usmanov said that our people attach great importance with their guests. Mr Husan Tashbaev and Mr. Sarwar from the Embassy staff were also present at the meeting.

Mr Aybek Arif Usmanov discussed different aspects of the conference with the editor and asked about the editor’s observation.

Editor Tazeen Akhtar responded that the conference was a big success with respect to its participation. High level presence from all countries of Central and South Asia depicts how much weight they give to the vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on regional connectivity and friendly neighborhood. Tashkent Conference was Expression of Regional & World Confidence in Uzbekistan & in the Initiatives of the President.

“Secretary General of United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guteress attended the conference virtually and extended full support to the vision of President Shavkat. That was itself, the proof of the honorful position of the President in the eyes of the head of the largest world forum. Then the representation of European Union by Vice President EU Commission , Mr Joseph Borel is another demonstration of the trust and reliance of EU in the President of Uzbekistan.” Editor Tazeen Akhtar noted.

Ambassador highlighted the key points of the Presidents Address to the Conference. He said the speech is a road map to move forward to bilateral and multilateral cooperation that will benefit all countries and even the nations beyond our regions.

Mr Aybek Arif Usmanov agreed to the suggestion of Editor that a meeting should be held with the group of journalists who visited Uzbekistan and covered Tashkent Conference. They can share their observations in the meeting and further can give their feedback about something new.
