TUNISIAN NIGHT IN LAHORE ! Potential of Bilateral Cooperation Highlighted

ISLAMABAD: Monitoring Desk – With the cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Pakistan and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of tunisia in Lahore, the demonstration “Night of Tunisia in Lahore” was organized on December 12th.
The event witnessed presence of a number of diplomats and activists in the cultural and economic spheres, as well as representatives from the business sector, reflecting the cultural and diplomatic significance of the event.
The occasion also honoured the participation of prominent government officials,  Federal Minister of Energy  Mr. Ali Pervez Malik. Member of Pakistan Cricket Council Mr. Yahya Ghaznoi and Chairman Lahore Arts Council Mr. Razi Ahmed were present.The event also welcomed a number of members of the Tunisian community residing in Lahore.
Acting Ambassador , Ms Dorsaf Maaroufi Arfaoui graced the event with her presence in traditional Tunisian outfit. 
In her keynote address, Ms Dorsaf welcomed the guests and briefed them on present level of bilateral cooperation. She invited Pakistani tourists and investors to her country where a conducive environment and eye catching sites are available for them.
It was emphasized during the demonstration that the importance of our country to enhance cooperation with the capital of Punjab as the economic and cultural capital of Pakistan.
In this context, Mr. Mohammad Hameed, Honorary Consul  noted that the bilateral relations are growing gradually in different sectors. As part of the Honorary Consulate Work Program for 2026, he said that it is a rich and busy program that includes many activities, events and practical programs aimed at promoting cohesion in various fields, notably cultural and economic sectors.
