ISLAMABAD: At the 8th International Army Games held in the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan, the team from Uzbekistan demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, and unity, winning first place and the gold medal.
The competition brought together elite military teams from the defense ministries of 12 countries. Despite the complex and demanding challenges that closely simulated real combat scenarios, our servicemen performed at the highest level and impressed all participants.
This marks Uzbekistan’s fifth victory in the history of these prestigious games.
It is a clear testament to the success of the defense reforms and enhanced military readiness being carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the closing ceremony, General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, personally awarded the main trophy to the head of the Uzbek team — Lieutenant Colonel Bahodir Qosimov, Head of Department at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As a gesture of friendship and mutual respect, the Uzbek side also presented commemorative gifts to the Pakistani military leadership.
This victory is not just a sports achievement — it is a reflection of Uzbekistan’s growing international standing, the strength of its Armed Forces, and the deep-rooted friendship with the people of Pakistan.
