Islamabad;Marking Pakistan Day, the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Margaret Adamson said in her message:

“Australia and Pakistan have much in common. Our Commonwealth and cricketing heritage. Our federal systems of government. Our dry climates and water challenges. Our cultural diversity, including over 60,000 Pakistani Australians who call Australia home, and our shared commitment to interfaith harmony and respect. And our opposition to terrorism.

We are horrified and saddened by the recent terrorist attacks on mosques in New Zealand. On this Pakistan Day, our thoughts are with the families of those Pakistanis injured and killed, including the brave Naeem Rashid, who gave his life trying to save others.

We reaffirm our commitment to stand with all Pakistanis who oppose terrorism.

Youm-e-Pakistan Mubarak!”
