Pakistani politics is not just politics but something highly and extremely complicated as what you are seeing white turns out to be black and black as white. We have seen many one pages in the past that took no time to be torn apart damaging everything gained during the so-called political stability.
Islamabad is humming with different stories of some big change in coming weeks this way or that way, I mean either the gov will be changed including the President and Field Marshal may become President with the change of the system altogether ! Or the Field Marshal may retire at the end of Nov 2025, after completing 3 years tenure. He will not get Extension !
Earlier , the Interior Minister and later DG ISPR contradicted all such speculations as rumors only but the inside stories could not be stopped. Reason is, No is Yes and Yes is No in Islamabad ! That is history.
Mr. Trump is working on meeting btw the Field Marshal Pakistan and Prime Minister of India as the war can be imposed anytime from the Indian side that can deprive Trump of peace building in this region and his nobel nomination can be jeopardised. Question is, will Modi meet FM or President of Pakistan ?
General Musharraf ousted President Tarar from Presidency and took oath of the President only to visit Agra as the head of the state to equalise the protocol. Ok ! that is not a big thing because FM met with the US President in the uniform after all.
The latest controversy that solidifies the “rumors” contradicted earlier , is what a senior journalist Sohail Warraich published as the statements of Field Marshal as well as his own picks from the discussions or speeches of the FM. Sohail noted in his column that FM has a 5 to 10 years plan of giving the country a remarkable take off !
On the other hand, the government is not likely to give extension to FM post Nov 2025. Major gossip in this regard is about a phone conversation between Sharif brothers. Nawaz Sharif allegedly tells Shehbaz not to give extension to FM at any cost.
The Supreme Court admitted bail pleas of Imran Khan in 8 cases of 09 May on 21 Aug. This is not a routine court decision. It has a solid background that I have tried to elaborate above. Imran’s bail is a message to the gov that is not ready to give extension, apparently.
Also on the same day, DG ISPR contradicted a dialogue or interview of Sohail Warraich with FM. DG ISPR totally negated any such conversation in which FM stated that Imran can get relief only after unconditional apologise on 09 May. That is the actual story behind the bail out of Imran !
The Interior Minister , a close friend of FM, is said to be the next Prime Minister. He was with FM while the General was in a meeting with Trump. This is being seen in Islamabad as clearance of US for Naqvi. No one knows what substitute political design the change seekers have in their mind and how PMLN + PPP will respond to any such move.
This is the overall political scene of the country in Islamabad. Nov is not far. Things are unfolding very rapidly. One page and political stability both seem to be at high risk until the last 10 days of Nov pass amicably. It is our desire only ! Does it happen the same ? It is not necessary.
