Islamabad: A delegation of participants from the 38th Senior Management Course of the National Institute of Management (NIM), Islamabad visited the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) for a comprehensive briefing on the Fund’s mandate, operational framework, and welfare initiatives. The delegation included officers from various occupational groups.
Secretary WWF, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmad, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the Fund’s wide-ranging initiatives in housing, education, health, and social welfare for industrial workers and their families.
He underlined that in the last three financial years, WWF has successfully mobilized substantial contributions from industrial establishments — a clear reflection of the private sector’s confidence and trust in the Fund’s transparent operations and effective service delivery.
Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmad further emphasized WWF’s long-term strategy of strengthening its asset base to ensure sustainable welfare. He noted the recent inauguration of the F-6 Business Center in Islamabad, which has already begun generating revenue. This income, he affirmed, will be dedicated exclusively to improving the lives of industrial workers and their children through welfare, education, and housing projects.
The participants appreciated WWF’s role as a key national institution committed to uplifting the working class. They particularly lauded the leadership of Secretary WWF, acknowledging his dedication and hard work in strengthening the Fund’s operations.
The delegation observed that such efforts are vital to ensuring that institutions like WWF continue to serve as engines of social progress and instruments of socio-economic uplift for workers and their families across Pakistan.
