Islamabad/ Pakistan; 23 Oct 2020 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen has condemned categorically (what the ministry says) Iran’s actions involving the smuggling of one of its agents to the Republic of Yemen and his appointment as a so called “ambassador” to the rebel Houthis militia, in a violation to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions including 2216.

“The Iranian regime persists to behave in a manner similar to that of gangs and terrorist organizations by smuggling weapons and personnel to a coup militia which demonstrates the hostility and ill- intentions of this regime towards Yemen and its people.” The ministry added.

The Ministry has called upon the international community and the UNSC to condemn the Iranian regimes unlawful actions and violations as well as its continued blatant interference in the internal affair of the Republic of Yemen.
