Shangla/KPK – The authorities of Shangla district of KPK have confirmed 5 Chinese nationals dead after a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle laden with explosives into the car of the victims in Basham city on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputy Inspector General of police Malakand shared that the Chinese were engineers who were traveling from Islamabad to Dasu camp.
Dasu is under construction Dam where many Chinese are working. Chinese have been targets of the terrorists for last many years. Pakistan has raised a full division of security forces for the safety of Chinese working on CPEC. But still the terrorist attacks could not be stopped.
This attack can also be seen in connection with recent big attacks on Pakistani forces in KPK and then the retaliatory measures taken by Pakistan on both sides of the border with Afghanistan. Only few days ago, Gwadar colony was also attacked but the forces thwarted the attack and killed all 8 assailants.
In another major attack in Balochistan, on night 25/26 March 2024, terrorists attempted to attack Pakistan Naval Base, PNS Siddique in Turbat which was thwarted due to the swift and effective response by the troops ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets.
ISPR shared, Security forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilized to support the naval troops. Synergetic & effective response by the armed forces enabled killing of all 4 terrorists in ensuing joint clearance operation.However, during intense fire exchange, Sepoy Noman Fareed (age 24 years, resident of Muzaffargarh) of Frontier Corps Balochistan, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
On 25 March 2024, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Dera Ismail Khan District on reported presence of terrorists.
During the conduct of operation, after an intense fire exchange, 4 Terrorists including Terrorist Mustafa, Terrorist Qismat Ullah and Terrorist Islam Ud Din were sent to hell.
The killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent civilians. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from killed terrorists.
