Islamabad: Ambassador Wouter Plomp welcomed FrieslandCampina Global CEO Hein Schumacher and President Food and Beverage Mr Roeland van Neerbos in Islamabad earlier this week.
They met President Arif Alvi, Federal Minister for Finance Shaukan Tarin, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam, Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Industries and Production Investment Razzaq Daud Chairman Board of Investment Azfar Ahsan.
They also attended an event – Rural Women Rising – to celebrate successes of women agri-preneurs in dairy farming. FCEPL will establish a novel Pakistan–Netherlands Dairy Development Center in association with the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore (UVAS). It will serve to foster collaboration and integration between industry, experts, academia and the government.
