Unfortunately, a country that is 6th largest in the world and possesses nuclear power is without any government for last 4 days and that only because of a concocted story of foreign conspiracy and fascist mindset of the regime that can do anything to save its seat and skin.Pakistan is on AutoPilot while the Supreme Court of Pakistan is taking its time to understand the basic concepts of the Constitution of Pakistan.
Constitution of Pakistan may have some ambiguities or gaps where we need proper expert explanation but as long as No Trust Move is concerned everything is crystal clear. Moreover , Attorney General of Government of Pakistan (PM Imran Khan) not only admitted in Supreme Court of Pakistan only few days earlier than what happened on Sunday 03 April, that Speaker has no power under any circumstances to stop or reject the move and the assembly can not be dissolved when the move is submitted.
But the government and its Speaker incharge (Deputy Speaker) “surprised” the opposition as well as the whole nation by rejecting the move. Prime Minister took no time to send the advice to the President who was already prepared to issue the orders. Everything happened in less than half an hour that proves everything was already planned.
That was all political. In Pakistan everything is considered to be fair in politics. That is why , the Prime Minister did not bother to recall his own statement on televised address. He said ” Voting will be done on Sunday and I will face it whatever is the result.”
I remember President Clinton and internee Monica Lewinsky case. President had to face the impeachment. Many people thought at that time that their relations were the reason for impeachment. Actually it was because President lied that he had no physical relation with the internee. Here in Pakistan telling a lie by the leaders is no big issue.
Now the ball is in the court of Supreme Court of Pakistan for last 4 days. The nation is waiting for the ruling from the apex judicial system of the country but everyday the hearing is adjourned till tomorrow. The bench consists of 5 Judges including Chief Justice of Pakistan but still unable to reach any conclusion that is known by a commoner even.
Imran Khan alleged a US conspiracy only on an email from Asad Majeed Khan former Ambassador of Pakistan to USA. The conspiracy, what he explained , was to topple his government and interestingly he himself acted upon it by dissolving the assembly. Ridiculous and interesting things are happening here. Minority is declaring the majority as traitors. The target of the so called conspiracy is implementing it himself. Opposition was to oust Imran Khan but now is the applicant in the SCP to restore him as the Prime Minister.
More interesting facts are ; The Prime Minister labels USA for planning to change his government, threatening the national security and his own advisor on National Security is USA citizen. He says in televised address that he can not name the country that is conspiring with opposition to take him down because official secret act forbids him but at the same time names USA. Imran Khan says that there is a letter but fails to present it in National Security Committee convened by himself. Imran Khan claims that military leadership found conspiracy in the letter but it is not confirmed by the military officials anywhere. Instead COAS General Bajwa terms USA important partner of Pakistan.
Still SCP is unable to reach the conclusion on a matter that is well understood by the common public of this country. Basic point is “Can Speaker reject No Trust Move?” NO. Article 5 used by government to reject the move has nothing to do with the no trust process. It is general article making every citizen loyal to the state. Article 63 A only is the related article that clearly explains the process that has not been adopted by the government.
If the steps taken by the speaker and the government are not declared null and void , it will become an example and no trust will never be moved. Prime Minister will be a dictator in that case. The court is the only hope to clear the things for the future. Question is, can the court bear the whole burden of political dirt on its shoulders? As the planner of rejection of no trust , Baber Awan argued yesterday ” The court should decide on this side or that side.”
No, court can not and will not decide on any particular side. The court, most probably, is going to decide in between. The steps taken by government on Sunday 03 April can be ruled null and void but at the same time fresh elections can be suggested. Both parties will get something to boast their victory without measuring what the nation and the country has lost. Pakistan Tehreek E Insaaf is the sole responsible for the whole political turmoil in center and in the biggest province Punjab for a conspiracy that can never be proved.
