Sultanate of Oman launches Humanitarian Airbridge to provide relief to Pakistans flood victims

Islamabad: 16 Sep 2022 – The Sultanate of Oman launched air bridge to transport the urgent relief aid for those affected by the recent floods that hit the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.First humanitarian assistance flights from Oman landed at Nur Khan Base, Rawalpindi on Friday, September 16. More relief flights and ships will arrive soon at Karachi.
The first relief assistance flight from Oman was received by Minister of State for Power, Muhammad Hashim Notezai along with the representatives from the Foreign Office, National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan and the Sultanate’s embassy officials, where a relief aid plane was sent through the Royal Air Force of Oman, in collaboration with the Oman Charitable Organization.
The emergency aid is part of an urgent relief campaign to address the ongoing floods happening in the country.
The sent aid contained foodstuff, medical materials and shelters for those affected by unprecedented torrential rains and floods in the country.
