Republic of Korea Donates Ambulances & Flood Protection Equipment to Rescue 1122 Pakistan

Rawalpindi: 12 Jan 2023 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Park Kijun, handed over two ambulances and flood protection equipment to the Secretary of the Department of Emergency Services, Dr. Rizwan Naseer, to increase the capacity of emergency services in Pakistan.
In this regard, a handing over ceremony  was organized at Divisional Rescue Headquarters Rawalpindi. Secretary Emergency Services Department Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Additional Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs Division Ms. Samar Ehsan, Secretary Ms. Sheena Ali, Head of Operations Ayaz Aslam, District Emergency Officer Rawalpindi Engineer Sibghatullah and senior officers of the headquarters attended.
Speaking at the event, His Excellency Park Kijun appreciated the key role of Rescue 1122 in all kinds of emergencies, especially during the recent floods of 2023.
He appreciated the services of all the rescuers in the field in Pakistan and even during the earthquake in Turkey.
He said that saving lives is a noble profession and Rescue 1122 is always available for the helpless victims in emergency situations, that is why Rescue 1122 has to cooperate and help with these devices as it helps the people of Pakistan in emergency situations.
