ISLAMABAD: Additional Foreign Secretary (Afghanistan & West Asia) Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi today received Chinese Special Envoy on Afghanistan Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong.
They underscored their commitment to a peaceful & stable Afghanistan and emphasized the need for enhanced coordination for regional stability. They also underlined the crucial role of neighbouring countries of Afghanistan for a peaceful, stable & prosperous region.
The visiting dignitary had a meeting with Secretary MOFA Ambassador Cyrus Javed Qazi and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Here it is worth mentioning that Kabul has sent its Ambassador to Beijing who presented his credentials to President Xi Jinping a couple of days ago. It has sent a message to the world that China is recognizing Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
