ISLAMABAD: Mr. Borhene El Kamel, Tunisian Ambassador to Pakistan breathed his last in his country on 06 June as announced by his son. He was out of sorts for last few months. He was at home in his city Nabeul at the time. He assumed his office in Islamabad on 09 Jan 2020 when he presented his credentials to President of Pakistan.
Mr. Borhene El Kamel spent about one active year in Islamabad and it was only then that doctors diagnosed sever health issues to him that stopped him from more activities. He returned to his country and since then the diplomatic affairs have been seen by acting ambassador Ms.Dorsaf Maaroufi Arfaoui.

Ms.Dorsaf Maaroufi Arfaoui has expressed her deep grief as , “Words can’t describe how I feel about losing a boss at work and a very dear father, he left me with so much to remember him in good and beautiful manner… A lot of moral, humanitarian, and a lot of fundamentals and mechanisms of diplomatic work. I promise to work with all your valuable advice.”
The Embassy has shared in a statement , “With great grief and pain, the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Pakistan mourns the demise of the Tunisian diplomatic family, His Excellency the Ambassador Mr.Borhene El Kamel, Ambassador of the Republic of tunisia in Islamabad who passed away to be with his Lord Fajr today, June 6, 2024 in Tunisia. We ask Allah, the Almighty, to accept him with his vast mercy, dwell him in his vast gardens, and to bestow his family and relatives with patience and tranquility.”
The Staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia to Pakistan is Deeply saddened over the sad demise of H.E Mr.Borhene El Kamel, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Pakistan. May God Almighty grant solace to his family, friends and colleagues, and bless his soul with eternal peace in paradise.
