Algeria Italy $15 Billion Business Exchange Take the Two Countries into a New Phase of Partnership

ISLAMABAD/ ROME : Monitoring Desk – Algeria and Italy have gained 15 billion dollars business exchange and 200 companies have active engegements. Algeria is expanding its economic presence in Italy.

Foreign Minister Ahmed Ataf officially announced from Rome the entry of Algeria and Italy into a new phase of partnership, titled: integrated economy, sustainable energy, and export industry.

The numbers speak:

@ The size of the trade exchange exceeded $ 15 billion in 2024
@ 200+ Italian companies are active in Algeria
@ 40% of Italian energy needs are covered in Algerian
@ Non-religious exports close to $ 10 billion.
@ Foreign currency reserves: $ 70 billion
@ Government’s goal: reach crude domestic output of $ 400 billion

A- The “Fiat” project in Wahran is Africa-oriented
B- Smart farming partnerships with BF SPA
C- Promising investments in renewable energy and green hydrogen
D- Algeria is transforming from an energy supplier to an African logistic and industrial hub

Foreign Minister Ahmed Ataf said, “Our partnership with Italy represents a stability factor for the average and Matty’s plan is an opportunity to re-balance European-African cooperation”
