ISLAMABAD : The Gujranwala Business Alliance (GBA) had the honour of hosting H.E. Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, during his visit to Gujranwala.During the visit, H.E. Toir toured the GBA Head Office and GIFT University, where discussions focused on enhancing bilateral trade relations and strengthening academic collaboration between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
The engagement highlighted the strong potential for building structured partnerships that connect industry with academia across both countries.
Chairman Mr. Ahmad Ikram Lone emphasized the importance of improving regional connectivity and outlined GBA’s strategic focus on expanding trade linkages with the Central Asian Republics, positioning Gujranwala as a key hub for regional economic integration.
In a significant step towards academic cooperation, Mr. Anwar Dar, Chairman GIFT University, announced scholarships worth USD 50,000 for Tajik students, reinforcing the commitment to fostering educational exchange and long-term collaboration.
