ISLAMABAD : Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E Alisher Tukhtaev called on Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Ataullah Tarar and held comprehensive discussions on joint initiatives in the fields of film, television, digital media, and mass communications.Particular attention was given to the production of historical and documentary films, the organization of press tours, the exchange of professional experience among journalists, and the further strengthening of cooperation between the leading media institutions of our two countries.
The sides expressed readiness to begin cooperation on a film dedicated to our great ancestor, Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur. His life, rich legacy, and outstanding contribution to world civilization constitute an important part of the shared history of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The officials reached an agreement to organize visits to Uzbekistan for prominent Pakistani bloggers, journalists, and representatives of leading television networks, enabling millions of people in Pakistan to gain a deeper understanding of New Uzbekistan, its investment potential, rich cultural heritage, and remarkable tourism opportunities.
Here it is worth mentioning that the people of both nations are united not only by a common history and spiritual heritage, but also by a shared aspiration for progress, development, and the strengthening of friendship. Today, they are building the future together through culture, education, media, and direct people-to-people engagement.
Ambassador has expressed confidence that these new joint initiatives will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Pakistan and open new avenues of cooperation between Central and South Asia.
