Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb delivered a speech at the opening of the African Motor Show 2025, organized on the sidelines of the fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025. He emphasized that Algeria’s hosting of this continental event “is an important milestone in highlighting the potential of the African continent in various fields.”

He emphasized that “the exhibition is not just a commercial platform, but an opportunity to build bridges of cooperation and launch joint initiatives to address development challenges and transform them into reality.”

He pointed out that Algeria, since independence, has remained faithful to its principles and African affiliation, believing that the continent’s advancement “can only be achieved by unifying efforts and strengthening integration for a unified and prosperous continent.”

Regarding the automotive sector, Sifi Ghrieb explained that the automotive industry in Africa is witnessing rapid development, with Algeria and other countries expecting to reach a leading position of 70%.

He added that Algeria has developed an ambitious strategy for the automotive industry, based on investment, research, and innovation, while empowering the Council of Automotive Industry Experts, which includes national and expatriate competencies.

He also highlighted that the African Auto Show aligns with the continent’s dynamics of strengthening value chains and wealth creation, noting that the exhibition provides a platform for networking and promoting the continent’s potential, paving the way for successful partnerships and the signing of agreements within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb delivered a speech at the opening of the “African diaspora day,” beginning by conveying the President’s sincere wishes for the success of this meeting, which he attaches special importance to as a milestone in strengthening ties between African diaspora communities and people of African descent in the continent.

He reiterated his welcome to the heads of state and government from African and Caribbean countries, praising their “keenness to contribute to the success of this important economic event for our African continent.”

He pointed out that this day represents “a golden opportunity to restore the spiritual and emotional connection between African communities abroad and people of African descent with their mother continent,” emphasizing “the critical importance of the contribution of both African communities and those of African descent to the continent’s development, and their prominent role in maintaining close and strong ties between different generations.”

Sifi Ghrieb emphasized that “the commitment of African communities yesterday to contributing to the struggle for the liberation of our continent continues today in new forms, drawing on their diverse expertise, competencies, and resources.”

He added that the African Union “has established African communities as the sixth region of the African Union” within “Agenda 2063,” which aspires to “build a prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development.”

The Prime Minister also affirmed that Algeria “is proud to be a member of the group of member states of the High Committee charged with implementing the African Roots and Communities Contract 2021-2031,” noting that our country “is fully prepared to contribute effectively to accelerating the implementation of joint projects related to the community.”

He also stressed that “the need has become more urgent than ever to redouble efforts to mobilize the energies of African communities, benefit from their skills and expertise, and strengthen the continent’s unity, solidarity, and cohesion.”
