ISLAMABAD: On May 13, 2024 the Chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shafiev Saidjon met with Ms Maria Agnes M. Cervantes, the Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines and Chair of ASEAN Committee Islamabad, at the Tajikistan residence in Islamabad.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on issues related to bilateral cooperation in political, economic, investment, cultural, educational, migration and tourism between the two countries.
Ambassador of Philippines expressed her satisfaction with the realistic policy and global initiatives of Tajikistan on current issues, noting that over the past two decades Tajikistan played a significant role in the international arena.
She appreciated the efforts of the President H.E Emomali Rahmon who managed to attract more attention of the world community to global issues, especially water and Climate change, which reflects how sincere and keen is Tajikistan leadership in solving these problems faced by the world community.
Mr. Shafiev Saidjon expressed his gratitude for the observation of the Ambassador Philippine. He discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation with the visiting dignitary.
