Vietnam’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt and mission of the State of Palestine presented his credentials to the President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas.
The Letter of Commission ceremony took place formally at the Palestinian Presidential Palace in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
President Mahmoud Abbas congratulates Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong for taking his duties in the State of Palestine, sends his best wishes to the leaders and people of Vietnam, congratulates Vietnam for successfully organizing the Great Congress National representation of the Vietnamese Communist Party for the XIV time, elect comrade To Lam to continue as General Secretary and set strategic development directions for Vietnam in the new phase.
The President of Palestine recalls his official friendly visit to Vietnam in May/2010, appreciating the great achievements Vietnam has achieved in 40 years of Innovation, affirming that Vietnam is a model for countries to study in citizen independence tribe and development of the country as well as effectively mobilize the support, unity of the international community.
Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong expressed his honor to be appointed as the Ambassador of Vietnam to the State of Palestine and presented the Letter of Accreditation of the President of Vietnam to the President on the first day of the Binh Ngo New Year, the holy New Year of the whole Vietnamese people.
The ambassador affirmed that he will do his best to contribute to promoting the ever-expanding and deep cooperation between the two countries, corresponding to the traditional thickness and political beliefs between the two countries.
Ahead of the Commissioning Letter ceremony, in the morning of the same day, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong visited the Yasser Arafat Museum, which exhibited the artifacts of the leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), who led the resistance of the Palestinian people in for over 30 years.
Former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has special affection for Vietnam, especially admires Vietnam’s struggle for independence, President Ho Chi Minh, General Vientiane Giap.
