This is Sheikh Mehmood Iqbal Cheif Executive of Master Tiles Gujranwala , He sells tiles on heavy prices and this Poor Pureland has thousands rich people who buy them happily. He came into limelight in the first half of the year 2021 when the social media youtubes and indian media flooded the market with not confirmed report that the Corp Commander Gujranwala has demanded 90 Karor extortion from the CEO of Master Tiles.
It was said that he has sent a letter to the then PM Imran Khan that could never be confirmed by the Prime Minister office but the history of differences between Imran Khan and General Asim Munir is well known and it is also now history that in the meanwhile the family data of General Asim Munir was leaked from NADRA . That is why Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik was terminated and Lt General Munir Afsar has been posted there as new Chairman.
About the extortion allegation , later Sheikh Mehmood Iqbal contradicted that he has sent any letter to PM. But it could not erase what was noted on the pages of history book. Because another General , Mr. Faiz was the favorit of PM Imran Khan among all generals.
What happened in Gujranwala with Master Tiles and the then Corp Commander ? Most likely is that Faiz was the choice of Imran Khan for next Chief but he was junior to as many as 5 Lt General including present Army Chief.
It was deliberate move of both to clear the way for Faiz to the seat or It was the sole conspiracy of Faiz only?
One thing is important to understand that the then Corp Commander Asim Munir presented a report to PM Imran Khan about the mega corruption in Punjab when Chief Minister was Waseem Akram Plus of Khan, that is Usman Buzdar. The report of Corp Commander also had another name. Farah Goggi, the close friend of Imran’s wife. Certainly it was disliked by PM Imran Khan and it was only then that General Asim Munir became not wanted general.
This is the back ground of arrest of this Sheikh and electricity theft is just an eye wash in the eyes of many who have eyes and ears. Lets see what comes out from this Pandora box ? He is Sheikh after all.
