ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of Afghani outlaws have made the Rural Circle of Islamabad their safe heaven for their illegal activities. Land grabbing, murder, robbery, banditry are common in the downtown of the capital city of the country. Certain hilly areas of Thana Neelore and Thana Kirpa have become hideouts of these criminal gangs and No Go areas for the general public.

Police is afraid of conducting operation in these areas. This area of ​​the federal capital has become a stronghold of local land grabbing groups. SP Koral Circle Hasan Wattoo has arrested several criminals,dozens of cases have also been registered, but a major operation is needed to make these areas crime-free.

A gangster named “Bila” is allegedly involved in supporting criminal gangs.The government and its machinery are busy using the police for other tasks due to the country’s political tension, but taking advantage of these situations, hundreds of criminals have started land grabbing and other crimes in housing societies.

According to the most reliable sources, in the areas of Khanna Pul, Lahtrar Road, Alipur Farash, Afghans are seen as “labourers” in the form of ordinary Pakistani Pathans, but actually they are gangsters. They can be recognized by their long hair certain type of clothing.

Certain areas of Police Station Kirpa and Police Station Neelore have become special abodes for such criminals. The police take action against them within their limited resources, but due to lack of manpower and vested interests of certain people, the police is unable to carry out full-scale operations.

Just a few days ago, a similar group had come to occupy a piece of land in the limits of Kirpa police station. A large number of local people came out and surrounded these criminals. A few were brought under control but one of the accused kept firing in public and tried to escape and when there was one bullet left in his gun, he shot himself in the leg and a case was registered against a person named Nasir and others in Kirpa police station although they had nothing to do with the incident .

The injured accused and his accomplices look like terrorists from their appearance who are also serving the injured accused in the hospital, the video footage of which is also available. According to the sources, behind this group is a local mafia “Bila” who was an ordinary property dealer some years ago but is now a billionaire.

A police officer, on condition of anonymity, said that according to the police investigation and the report of some agencies, most of the daily incidents of theft, robbery, murder, banditry are committed by this group and then they take shelter in certain camps in the mountainous areas. The police do not have the resources necessary to act against such armed gangs. He said that these groups have modern weapons and fake NADRA ID cards.

Therefore, along with the police, the Rangers should also be involved to get rid of the criminal gangs. Otherwise, soon these areas of the federal capital will become completely out of control of the law enforcing agencies.
