Islamabad; 09 Oct 2020 – Renown writer, social worker, spiritual personality Dr Afshan Kanwal has strongly condemned Armenian attacks on civilian communities in Azerbaijan and demanded UNO, European Union, OIC and world community to take notice of state terrorism against the innocents citizens including children , women and elderly people. She has expressed complete solidarity with Azerbaijan and said that our hearts beat with our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters.
Dr Afshan Kanwal, while talking to Pakistan in the World , said that Ambassador Ali Alizade and Military Attache Col Mehman have rightly called upon the world community to stop Armenia from any next act of terrorism against the civilians.
She said that Azerbaijan military can defend its motherland. We believe that if Armenia continues attacks on the cities and civilian infrastructure of Azerbaijan, it will generate a befitting response from Azerbaijan military that Armenians will not be able to bear.
Dr Afshan Kanwal said that targeting civilian population and infrastructure is clear violation of international law and Geneva conventions. Armenian leadership can be tried for war crimes on these attacks.
She prayed for the martyrs of Azerbaijan and said that our feelings are with the families of those who sacrificed their precious lives in thwarting the aggression of occupant in Nogorno Karabakh.
