Tehran, IRNA – Minister of Interior of Pakistan,Mohsin Raza Naqvi, expressing condolences on the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said that the entire nation of Pakistan is mourning on the incident. The nation of Pakistan is witnessing the enthusiastic participation of Iranians following the martyrdom, he underlined.His Irani counterpart, Eskandar Momeni says that a ceasefire has been established through the mediation of the friendly nation of Pakistan, noting that Iran will not forget this positive and historical role.
Momeni made the remarks in a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi in Tehran on Thursday, expressing gratitude for the Pakistani side’s visit to Iran at this sensitive juncture, which demonstrates the depth of relations between the two countries.
The Minister added that cooperation in the political, economic, border, and security fields would be discussed and pursued during the trip.
Iran was drawn into an illegitimate war for 40 days by two criminal regimes, the US and Israel, he said, adding that the Iranian Armed Forces and nation gave them a powerful and regret-inducing response.
Iran and the enemy are currently in a ceasefire phase, he said, noting that the ceasefire was brokered through the mediation and action of the friendly and brotherly nation of Pakistan.
The Islamic Republic will not forget this positive and historical role, he said, adding that the Leader also emphasized good relations with the government and people of Pakistan in his very first messages.
